We are pleased to announce that Rob Wechsler PE, has joined Caribbean Structural Systems / APTEC Building Systems.
Some of you have already met Rob, either in person or through his involvement on one of your projects. Rob has a BS degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Florida and a Masters from Georgia Tech in Structural Engineering. Rob comes to us from DeSimone Consulting Engineers http://www.de-simone.com/ where he worked mostly on high rise projects, first in their Miami office but for the last couple of years in their Boston office.

Our business is quite a bit different than the type of projects he has been working on but he brings a different perspective to our projects that I believe will serve all of us well. We’ve thrown him into the deep end and he is already making important contributions. I’m sure you will enjoy working and interacting with him.
As you might surmise from his last name, Rob is my son. Please don’t worry, I’m not going anywhere yet! I will still be running the company and Eric Newman and Lisa Kaplan will continue to be involved in all of the projects as they always are. My first instinct was to tell you that nothing has changed and we’ll still do whatever we can to provide the best service we can. While the last part of that sentence is true, change in business is inevitable and our industry is no exception. Rob’s presence will help us to innovate and to offer new and different solutions for your projects.
We welcome Rob home and welcome him to the team.
Thanks for your business and continued support. We look forward to working with you.
